It is now widely known that anti-cancer effects
are expected from intake of miso on a regular basis. According to
a decade-long survey from 1981 conducted by Dr. Takeshi Hirayama
of the National Cancer Center, people who do not eat miso soup at
all are at 50% higher risk of dying of stomach cancer than those
who eat it every day.
Scientists believe that ingredients contained in miso such as unsaturated
fatty acid, isoflavon, yeast and lactic acid have a function to
control variant substances that are closely related to generation
of cancer. Also, miso has been proven to have effects of scavenging
cancer-inducing radioactive substances.
Another characteristic of miso is its anti-tumor effect. That is
because soybeans , of which miso is made, contain trypsin inhibitor
that has anti-tumor effects . Furthermore, vitamins and dietary
fiber in vegetables used in miso soup are known to have anti-cancer
effects as well.
As mentioned above, you can prevent cancer before you know it by
taking miso soup every day. These immeasurable effects of miso have
attracted a worldwide attention, and studies are conducted in various
industries.
